Supports the administration of the RRHS Workers Compensation and Ergonomics program with a focus on providing excellent customer service to all customers.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Riedman Campus

DEPARTMENT: Risk Management

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, Days


  • Evaluates all injury reports for assigned areas. Perform initial investigation on all reported work injuries. Includes correspondence with the employees, leaders, medical providers, Employee Health and legal representation.
  • Collaborates with carrier/TPA for compensability determination.
  • Collaborate and the carrier/TPA and case manages files to final resolution.
  • Record keeping which includes, but is not limited to: Injury logs, tracking employees out of work or on restricted duty, OSHA, HRIS, etc. Records should ensure completeness and correctness of entries.
  • Complete all regulatory forms as required by the WCB.
  • Performs an OSHA audit quarterly.
  • Submits annual OSHA survey forms and responds to regulatory requests.
  • Follows up on all safety issues and referrals for intervention as appropriate.
  • Follows all internal protocols for WC and OSHA file handling.
  • Primary contact for assigned departments/facilities. Employee will work directly with the leader for the assigned department/facility to enhance the culture of safety within the organization and address all safety concerns.
  • The Employee will have ongoing dialogue with their assigned departments/facilities to ensure follow up on actions identified.
  • Answers questions from Business Partners and leaders regarding workers compensation and integration with other regulations such as FML. May require additional follow up with vendors.
  • Maintain files for workers compensation, and OSHA
  • Backup for other workers compensation department team members and department leader.
  • Other duties as assigned which may include but is not limited to: education sessions, preparation and delivery for meetings, safety meetings, coordination and support of activities supported by the workers compensation and ergonomics team, administrative duties as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field, or 5 years experience in benefits, workers compensation or unemployment administration.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with people over the phone.
